Noticeably, out of a total of 2,500 inpatients and outpatients, many are workers who got the disease at work or in other localities. The district also reported four deaths caused by the dengue virus. In addition, Cu Chi District still has identified 469 vulnerable localities in dengue risk areas. S.Korea’s Samsung to expand trade, investment in Vietnam: CEO
South Korean conglomerate Samsung Electronics will make a business and investment expansion in Vietnam, with a target of US$69 billion worth of exports and an additional investment of US$3.3 billion this year, among other activities, the group’s leader has said. Samsung CEO Roh Tae Moon told Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh about the giant’s expansion of operations in Vietnam at their meeting on Friday, as part of his ongoing working visit in the Southeast Asian country. Specifically, Samsung will manufacture semiconductor products at its Samsung Electro-Mechanics Vietnam, located in northern Thai Nguyen Province, in July 2023, the CEO said. Hanoi, Seoul to promote trade unions’ cooperation
The Federation of Trade Unions of Seoul and the Hanoi Confederation of Labor are set to strengthen cooperation in the coming time. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the efforts and achievements so far. He then pointed out the 25 tasks of Project 06 not being fulfilled (accounting for 54.3 percent). The proportion of document processing online is not truly high. 4/25 online public services were unsuccessful goals. The digitalization speed is still slower than expected. He stressed the importance of Project 06 to help citizens form a new habit of not coming to state agencies for administrative procedures but using online portals instead. This is a tough challenge that requires strong determination of all state officials. When carrying out this project, to minimize resource waste, there must be breakthroughs in thinking and strategic visions in order to fulfill immediate tasks and prepare for long-term ones.
