In September, 2019, Wang Qing Lin illegally entered Vietnam to work. One month later, Lin was fined VND4 million (USD173.91) for not completing the necessary entry procedures as required. After returning to China, Wang Qing Lin was told by a man named Xiao Hua to join the online visual stock market. Being promised to receive the monthly payment of CNY5,000, Lin agreed with the deal. On November 9, 2019, Wang Qing Lin illegally entered Vietnam again by road through an unidentified man. After re-entering Vietnam, Wang Qing Lin was taken to the central city of Danang by a Vietnamese person who has not yet been identified. HCM City opens Japanese-standard dialysis centre
HCM City (VNA) – A dialysis centre meeting Japanese standards in Ho Chi Minh City was put into operation at the local Nguyen Tri Phuong hospital on January 20. The establishment is an outcome of cooperation between the hospital and Nipro Corporation, a Japanese medical equipment manufacturing conglomerate. As the centre employs dialysis membranes that can be reused, it offers high quality treatment at more affordable prices. According to Director of the hospital Vo Duc Chien, it has already run a high-quality dialysis centre since 2016 to serve demand from locals and foreign experts. However, the treatment cost is high compared to local incomes due to the use of single-use membranes. Indonesian parliament discusses candidates overseeing sovereign wealth fund
Jakarta (VNA) – Members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) are discussing candidates for the supervisory board of the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), representative of the House’s Commission XI Amir Uskara said on January 19. Earlier, President Joko Widodo sent a letter to the parliament, proposing the names to the DPR leaders. The President’s letter on the SWF investment authority board is still in possession of DPR leaders, who is going to hold an official meeting about the letter itself, he said, adding the formation of the SWF authority board will be discussed in the consultative assembly while the President’s proposed names will be considered carefully.
