In his opening remarks, Hue said that the session will last for two days and a half, during which the committee will look into a draft report on the outcomes of the thematic supervision of policies and laws on thrift practice and anti-wastefulness for 2016-2021. Refresher course on military history work opened for Lao officers
This is the eighth edition of the course opened by the Vietnamese institute since 2019. In his opening speech, Major General Nguyen Hoang Nhien, Director of the Vietnam Military History Institute, underlined the importance of the course, contributing to improving the efficiency of managing and researching military history and reviewing the war. According to General Nhien, among 25 Lao cadres, the freshly-employed ones will be equipped with basic knowledge of military history research methodology while the veteran ones will be provided with experience in military history research, and war summarization. General Nhien believed that after the course with support from the Vietnamese experienced instructors, the Lao trainees’ professional competence will be improved, contributing to their future work and meeting requirements of the Laos People’s Army’s military history sector.
