A drawing contest titled Travel with Muong Thanh - Dream Vacation is the opening programme for a series of activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the founding of Muong Thanh Group. The competition encouraged the youngsters to engage in additional activities with the goal of learning while playing. It helped them develop their creativity while forming personalities and developing sentiments for the wonders and beauties of their surroundings and encouraging them to appreciate Vietnam more via each location where a Muong Thanh hotel welcomes them. Hundreds of kids, aged 6 to 15 nationally, participated in the event, and the organisers received more than 1,000 submissions from around the nation. Photographer Lam Duc Hien of World Press Photo Contest fame sat down with Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper during his time at the 2022 Hue Festival to reflect on the portraits that made his name, the life-or-death experiences, and the state of modern photojournalism after spending three decades in the ever-changing industry. How did you get your start in photography? At the beginning, I did not even plan to do photography professionally. It started when I joined a non-governmental organization (NGO) because I want to help people. I went to Romania with them in 1990 and they asked me to take pictures. [In 1990, the country was experiencing perpetual social unrest and political battles following the Romanian Revolution in December 1989]. Contestants at Miss World Vietnam 2022 (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The finale of Miss World Vietnam 2022 will take place at MerryLand Quy Nhon in Quy Nhon city, the south-central province of Binh Dinh, on August 12 with the competition of 38 beauties. The final night will include Ao dai (traditional long dress), swimsuit, evening gown, and question-and-answer rounds. This year, the winner will receive a reward of 300 million VND (12,825 USD) in cash and a crown called Ocean Lotus. Meanwhile, the first runner-up will receive 150 million VND and the second, 100 million VND. Miss World Vietnam 2022 will also seek a representative for Vietnam at Miss World.
