The five-day visits of Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to Hungary and the UK marked a new milestone in bilateral relations, eventually contributing to the Vietnam-EU partnership. The Chairman’s official visit to Hungary was significant amid the 72nd anniversary of diplomatic relations and approaching the five-year mark of the comprehensive partnership (2018 – 2023). In addition, Hungary was Vietnam’s first comprehensive partnership in Central and Eastern Europe, as the former has been actively supporting Vietnam in both multilateral frameworks and also in Vietnam-EU relations. In mid-June, Van Anh and her family of four took a summer holiday in Da Nang, famous as the country’s most livable city, but they felt that the trip was made boring because they had nothing to do in the evening. "Besides swimming, eating out and visiting Ba Na Hills, I realized that Da Nang has very few services for tourists, especially in the evening. After eating, we come back to the hotel and there are no more night-time activities," she said. Thu Huong, another tourist from Hanoi, also spent a night in Da Nang last month and watched a fire breathing act on the iconic Dragon Bridge at night. She said she didn’t know what else she could do. "From 9:30 p.m. streets in Da Nang started emptying and looking deserted. There were a few night markets and backpacker streets with poor services," Huong recalled. The ceremony to sign the deal was held at the Intercontinental Landmark Hotel in Hanoi, and attended by executives from both companies, including Samsung Engineering Executive vice president GyuYeon Kang and DNP Water chairman Ngo Duc Vu. With this acquisition, Samsung Engineering holds a 24 percent stake in DNP Water, DNP Holding owns 53 percent and other stakeholders have 23 percent. DNP Water is a private enterprise that focuses on water supply business in Vietnam and is the largest private water treatment company in terms of capacity. It was spun off from the DNP Group, a manufacturer of plastic pipes, in 2017. Addressing the event, Vice Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Thi Anh Hong said that the International Day of Yoga is a chance for yogis to meet, exchange experience and spread Yoga spirit to the community, but also an opportunity for the Vietnamese and Indian people to foster cultural exchanges, thus enhancing the sound relations between the two countries as well as Ba Ria - Vung Tau and India in particular. Hong said that currently, the province is home to nearly 60 Yoga clubs and 80 training facilities. Yoga has been practiced by a large number of local residents, she added. At the event, Dr. Khamla Keoounkham, vice director of the academy, said that the teaching and studying of the works has a practical meaning, creating favourable conditions for researchers, scholars and teachers as well as other people interested in President Ho Chi Minh's ideology to access the late Vietnamese leader’s works.
