In the lead-up to the 2019-2020 school year VIR is to launch its annual charity golf tournament Swing for the Kids 2019 to raise fund for studious students in difficult circumstances. The valuable sponsorship of businesses and golfers for Swing for the Kids helps young students overcome difficulties and develop in society This year’s event will tee-off on April 20 at Mountainview and Kings Course of BRG Kings Island Golf Resort in Dong Mo, Son Tay district, Hanoi. The registration fee is VND3million ($130) per golfer. Over a 12 year period, Swing for the Kids has raised over VND15.4 billion ($670,000). This has helped fund 15,000 scholarships for poor students as well as building computer facilities for schools. Tourism is a major factor behind Vietnam’s fast-growing economy With a bright outlook forecast for Vietnam’s tourism industry, international hotel operators and investors are flocking to the country to benefit from its increasing potential and diverse arrivals. The market is developing remarkably, with international arrivals in 2018 reaching more than 15.4 million, an increase of 19.9 per cent on-year. According to Do Thi Hong Xoan, chairman of the Vietnam Hotel Association, more international hotel operators have flocked to Vietnam in recent years. “Operators are bringing high standards and professional services to the country, meeting the needs of customers.
