Massachusetts is one of the destinations in President Ho Chi Minh's journey to seek a way for national liberation, where he studied history and learned about the struggle for national independence, freedom and reunification of the American people. A number of mementos in the kitchen where he worked more than 100 years ago are still kept by the hotel. Old documents with many pictures and articles about the daily life of Boston people in the previous period which was hung at the hotel, with words saying that Ho Chi Minh used to work as pastry chef of Parker from 1911 to 1913. Vietnam discovers two new strains of SARS-CoV-2 from imported cases

Van Dinh Trang, Head of the Microbiology and Molecular Biology Ward under the hospital, told the Suc khoe & Doi song (Health and Life) newspaper that the B.1.222 variant had appeared in 11 countries, but was most common in the UK and particularly Scotland. This strain has many mutations on the spike protein different from the Indian strain B.1.617.2. Variant B.1.222 was discovered when the hospital’s COVID-19 research team sequenced the SARS-CoV-2 gene from the oropharyngeal specimen of a 29-year-old patient, a Ukrainian expert. Vietnam defeat Timor Leste to advance to SEA Games men’s football semis as group leaders
Vietnam are ranking first in Group A of men’s football at the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games after defeating Timor Leste 2-0 in their last group-stage match in northern Phu Tho Province on Sunday evening. As Vietnam had already secured a spot in the semifinals, coach Park Hang Seo decided to deploy his reserve line-up in this game. Despite having the advantage over Timor Leste, the Golden Stars were unable to net any goal in the first half. Nguyen Van Tung opened the scoring for Vietnam in the 53rd minute with an accurate header following a pass from Le Van Do. Timor Leste boosted their offensive and were able to strike Vietnam’s net in the 56th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside. At a Saturday conference in Harvard University on Vietnam's development strategy in the 21st century, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said Vietnam's economy has expanded into the fourth largest economy in ASEAN and among the world's top 12 economies with the largest scale of commerce. The country also takes part in 15 active FTAs, he said. Economist David Dapic said Vietnam taking part in FTAs was a major success. Millions of farmers have moved on to work in factories as a result. But the fact that most materials for production are imported from China is a weakness, he added. When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, borders were closed and there was commercial tension, Vietnam's exports were affected, Dapic said. Vietnam's trade turnover with the U.S. may reach $100 billion this year. Such a figure might be small for the U.S., but Vietnam should take note to remain in constant communication and avoid being accused of currency manipulation, he advised.
