VNPAY earns certificate for highest level of international security
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a compulsory information security standard for businesses that store, process, or transmit payment card data, which is managed by five international payment organisations, namely Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. The certificate is the highest level of service provider established by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI DSS 3.2.1 comprises a set of strict requirements including multi-factor authentication, data encryption in line with security standards, and regular compliance and periodic reviews across the whole organisation. A severe heatwave across the basin of China's longest river, the Yangtze, caused by a larger than usual Western Pacific subtropical high, has now lasted more than two months, slashing hydropower supplies and drying out large expanses of arable land. In the sprawling southwestern region of Chongqing, where most of Yangtze's Three Gorges reservoir is located, the grid is now scrambling to secure electricity from other parts of the country as supplies to industrial consumers are rationed, state media reported.
