The article on Hungary Today (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Local media of Hungary have highlighted the visit by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue , which was made from June 26-28 at the invitation of Speaker of the Hungarian NA László Kövér. The Hungary Today newspaper on June 28 ran a story entitled “House Speaker Kövér: Vietnam Is a Key Partner”, quoting the Hungarian top legislator as saying after his talks with NA Chairman Hue that Vietnam is Hungary ’s key partner in Southeast Asia. While agricultural exports to Vietnam surpass imports, Hungary has “much to do” in developing bilateral economic ties, Kövér said in a joint statement after the talks. Noting that Hue led a delegation of various experts, Kövér said the visit was “promising” regarding inter-governmental, scientific, and educational cooperation, the article reported. The UK and the European Commission (EC) have agreed to sign a proposal to Vietnamese government for setting up a partnership for energy transition between the group of seven developed economies (G7) and Vietnam, British Cabinet Office Minister Alok Sharma has stated. The UK minister released the information at his meeting in London on Thursday with visiting Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, who arrived on Tuesday for a three-day visit at the invitations of Speaker of the UK House of Lords John McFall and Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK Lindsay Hoyle, the Vietnam News Agency reported. The competition, part of the Taste of Australia event, was organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and supported by Vietnam’s Graduates from Australia Club (VGAC). It had two rounds – an online one held from May 12-June 4; and a final round held on June 25 in Ho Chi Minh City. All contestants registered for the online round submitted video clips with two cups with two different patterns from four subjects - Heart, Tulip, Rosetta and Swan. At a meeting in London on June 30 with Kenneth Atkinson, head of the British Business Group in Vietnam (Britcham), and representatives of British groups and investment funds operating in Vietnam, Hue affirmed that the relationship between Vietnam and the U.K. is at an all-time high. He believed the U.K. will continue to elevate its role and position in terms of economy, trade and investment in Asia-Pacific, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Vietnam.
