Thousands of bright yellow petals are enticing Hanoians and visitors alike to visit a sunflower garden covering an area of 2,000 square metres in Imperial Citadel of Thang Long. According to the relic site’s management board, the flower garden was planted on October 20, 2017 and is now in full bloom. The gardeners say they have sought technical advice from experts so they can provide the best care for the flower garden. Sunflowers usually bloom for 15 to 20 days. However, the sunflowers in Imperial Citadel of Thang Long will stay in bloom until the Lunar New Year festival (Tet) to the pleasure of visitors and residents. The road to Doan Mon gate of the relic site is bathed in the bright yellow colour of sunflowers. Due to the cold weather, the sunflowers are large and vibrant.
