Photo mia.vn Lâm Giang Located on the peaceful Thác Bà Lake, Ngòi Tu Community Cultural Tourism Village in Vũ Linh Commune, Yên Bình District is an attractive destination for tourists. Ngòi Tu has a unique landscape combined with the long-standing cultural values of the people here, creating a very unique attraction. We went by car to visit the village, though it can also be reached via boat, departing from Hương Lý Port in Yên Bình Town, to feel the cool and fresh atmosphere of Thác Bà Lake. The village is located close to the edge of Thác Bà Lake, nestled under palm trees and luxuriant forests. It covers an area of 2sq.km. Hanoi’s tourism sector welcomed 8.61 million visitors in the first six months of 2022, an increase of nearly three times year-on-year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism. The arrival number is estimated to hit 211 thousand while that of domestic tourists is around 8.4 million visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND25.2 trillion (around US$1 billion), up more than three times compared to the same period in 2021. The average room occupancy in hotels rated with stars is estimated at more than 30%, an increase of 6.11% year on year. In June alone, room occupancy is around 42.9%, down 2.3% compared to May but up 17.2% over the same period in 2021. Among its major markets such as Japan, the RoK, China and Thailand, Thanh Hoa has paid special attention to the RoK – a leading partner of the province for years. Pham Duc Tri, Vice Director of the province's Centre for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, said that the RoK currently has the highest number of 37 investment projects in Thanh Hoa, and ranked second among foreign investors in terms of investment capital with about 1.62 billion USD, accounting for 26.5 percent of the total foreign-invested projects and 11 percent of total foreign direct investment (FDI) in the province. The city's total tourism revenue in the first half of 2022 amounted to approximately 25.2 trillion VND (1.08 billion USD), more than three times higher than the figure in the first six months of 2021.
