Speaking at a ceremony on March 14, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem expressed his delight at the growth of Vietnam – Hungary relations, stressing that the Vietnamese people always remember Hungaria’s support for their struggle for independence. Just two or three years ago, a tour of the Republic of Korea cost 20 million VND (857 USD) or more and the cheapest tour of Japan was 30 million VND. Now trips to the RoK, Taiwan, Japan, and mainland China cost just a little more than to Southeast Asian countries, the manager of a travel company in HCM City said. A five-day visit to the RoK now costs 11.5-12 million VND while a four-day trip to Japan costs 21-22 million VND. Some travel firms even offer low-cost tours of the RoK and Taiwan at a mere 8-9 million VND. (VEN) - The province of Dien Bien plans to open eight new points of sale in eight districts and towns this year to make sure that every locality in the province has a Vietnamese Goods Sales Point. Preferential funds will be provided for those points in remote areas and those with sales potential. More than 90 percent of goods on sale at the Hoa Ba Supermarket are made in Vietnam Targeting traditional markets Le Viet Nga, the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Domestic Market Department, spoke highly of the Vietnamese Goods Sales Point program launched in Dien Bien Province to help local consumers buy high-quality Vietnamese goods in traditional markets. Currently, more than 70 percent of goods for sale in Dien Bien Province are made in Vietnam, but the figure stands at only 60 percent in traditional markets.
