With investment of 1.5 trillion VND (64 million USD) from the CMC technology group, the centre covers 13,000 sq.m. at Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Over 66,500 people join quiz on Vietnam-Laos relations last week
Hanoi (VNA) – More than 66,500 people tested their knowledge on the history of the special Vietnam -Laos relations during the ninth week of an online quiz , from 4pm on August 8 to 3pm on August 15. A majority of the contestants, or over 66,400, came from Vietnam while the remainders were from Laos and other countries, according to the organising board of the quiz on the Vietnam-Laos ties. Le Anh Quyet, a teacher from the Quang Tung Junior High School in Quang Trach, Quang Binh, won the first prize of the week. Other two junior high school teachers, also in Quang Trach, were honoured with the second prizes. Nghe An led the nation in the number of contestants of the week, followed by Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Ha Nam and Quang Ninh. Vietnam climbed ten places in ranking of International Mathematical Olympiad 2022
The achievements of the Vietnamese national team at this year's Olympiad continue to show the quality of general education in the country. All six members of the Vietnamese team participating in the 63rd International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2022) have secured medals, with two golds, two silvers, and two bronzes, lifting Vietnam ten places compared to 2021 results, according to the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET). The results placed Vietnam in the fourth position out of the 104 teams participating in the competition, behind China, South Korea, and the United States, the MoET said. The two students who achieved the gold medals were 12 th -grader Ngo Quy Dang and 11 th -grader Pham Viet Hung. Vietnam, UK cooperate in fighting illegal immigration
The dialogue was part of U.K. Home Office Permanent Under-Secretary Matthew Rycroft's two-day visit to Vietnam. The dialogue aimed to improve migration cooperation, deliver on the potential of the existing migration partnership and discuss key issues, including four pillars: communication on immigration and safe migration, migrant returns, fraudulent documents and updated policies on immigration and migration management, and addressing human trafficking. Vietnam Green Building Week 2022 to take place in October
The Vietnam Green Building Week 2022 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City by the Ministry of Construction this October as part of efforts to meet the net-zero emissions commitments set out at the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP26). The event, in response to the World Green Building Week, will attract the participation of over 1,200 delegates from various ministries and provincial authorities, policy makers, as well as both national and international organisations.
