Vietnam became the leaders of Group A in women's football at the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games after scoring a 7-0 victory over Cambodia on Saturday evening. Vietnam's coach Nguyen Duc Chung benched many key players and deployed his reserve line-up in the match against Cambodia at Cam Pha Stadium in northern Quang Ninh Province. However, the Vietnamese women still managed to overpower their opponents. In more than 90 minutes, the Cambodian visitors could barely get the ball onto Vietnam’s field. Nguyen Thi Van opened the scoring for Vietnam with an accurate header in the sixth minute.
