According to the World Bank’s ranking, Vietnam’s business environment has jumped 13 steps compared to 2016. ASEAN has been a leading trade partner during Vietnam’s economic integration since it joined ASEAN in 1996. Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and ASEAN has risen from nearly 6 billion USD to more than 60 billion USD. Vietnam is a signatory to 16 free trade agreements, including several “new-generation” deals and deals with 15 members of the G20 group. Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh said this reflects Vietnam’s increasing international integration. Hanoi (VNA) – The Embassy of Vietnam in Russia hosted a press conference and a reception in Moscow on January 22 to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Russia diplomatic relations (January 30, 1950). Speaking at the reception, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh stressed that in the Vietnam Year in Russia and the Russia Year in Vietnam in 2019, the bilateral relationship was strengthened as hundreds of activities were organised in the two countries, including visits of high-ranking leaders and cultural exchanges.
