Vietnam Airlines’ flights between Vietnam and Germany with stops at Frankfurt Airport have been affected by a strike in Germany. According to national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, Verdi, one of Germany’s largest services trade unions, has called for a strike by security personnel at Frankfurt Airport from 2 am to 8 pm on Tuesday. The period falls from 8 am on Tuesday to 2 am on Wednesday Vietnamese time. Cao Phong Oranges, a speciality of the northern province of Hoa Binh has just been added to the menu served to business class passengers of Vietnam Airlines from December 8-22. Representative from the national flag carrier said that this is part of the airlines’ efforts to introduce local specialties to domestic and foreign friends. The airline sources the litchi from gardens cultivated in line with the VietGAP standards in the northern Bac Giang province’s Luc Ngan district.
