Vietnam and Qatar yesterday signed an agreement on visa exemption for their diplomatic and official passport holders. The criteria are expected to push port-managing firms to embrace green development, improving their competitiveness and ensuring sustainability. A green assessment will be carried out every three years. The first criterion is that the firms strictly comply with environmental regulations specified in Viet Nam's legal documents and international agreements of which Viet Nam is a member. Additionally, the firms must closely monitor their port construction and operation and make frequent reports on their environmental impacts. The Vietnam Green Building Week 2022 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City by the Ministry of Construction this October as part of efforts to meet the net-zero emissions commitments set out at the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP26). The event, in response to the World Green Building Week, will attract the participation of over 1,200 delegates from various ministries and provincial authorities, policy makers, as well as both national and international organisations. The achievements of the Vietnamese national team at this year's Olympiad continue to show the quality of general education in the country. All six members of the Vietnamese team participating in the 63rd International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2022) have secured medals, with two golds, two silvers, and two bronzes, lifting Vietnam ten places compared to 2021 results, according to the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET). The results placed Vietnam in the fourth position out of the 104 teams participating in the competition, behind China, South Korea, and the United States, the MoET said. The two students who achieved the gold medals were 12 th -grader Ngo Quy Dang and 11 th -grader Pham Viet Hung.
