HCM City (VNA) - Famous singers and dancers of Vietnam performed in a special music programme in Ho Chi Minh City on January 25 night to welcome the 13th National Party Congress. The event was co-organised by the city’s organisation board of major holidays and the HCM City Light Music Centre. The programme, divided into three parts, featured 16 well-known songs expressing the gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, and affirming the people’s belief in the  right directions and policies, and creative leadership of the CPV. It also praised policies of the Party and State that have created great development turning points, bringing a facelift to the country in general and HCM City in particular. The programme is considered greetings from the municipal Party Committee, authorities and people to the 13th National Party Congress with a firm belief that HCM City will become a civilized and modern city, and deserves being named after President Ho Chi Minh. Hanoi (VNA) – An art exhibition themed “Spring of the nation” will be organised at the Vietnam National Fine Art Museum in Hanoi to celebrate the 13th National Party Congress, the 91st founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet). The exhibition introduces 36 sculpture works by 29 authors of different generations, featuring the Party, as well as sentiments of the people and armed forces’ sentiments towards President Ho Chi Minh. The event also highlights the beauty and atmosphere of Spring in different localities across the nation. Hanoi (VNA) - A flower street with the theme of “Home Hanoi Xuan 2021” is set to be held for the first time between February 7 and 17 in Splendora urban area of Hoai Duc district in Hanoi in order to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival, known locally as Tet. The street will feature a traditional Tet space, including Dong Ho folk paintings, Bat Trang ceramic products, and calligraphic works, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV). In addition, the area will also include traditional items such as Chuong village’s Non La, a type of conical hat, and Chung cake, a festive delicacy consisting of a square sticky rice cake, in order to offer visitors an ideal check-in location. Alongside various art performances, water puppetry show and folk games are also set to entertain visitors throughout Tet.
