National Assembly working delegation visits Army Corps 16

General Do Ba Ty visiting people in Dak Nong province The request was made by General Do Ba Ty, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly (NA), at a meeting with troops of Army Corps 16 on April 14. Anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army marked in Australia

Chief of the Australian Defence Force General Angus Campbell (Source: AAP) – The Vietnamese Embassy and the Defence Attaché Office in Australia organised a ceremony in Canberra on December 13 to mark the 75th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the 30th All-People’s Defence Festival (Dec. 22). Present at the ceremony were Chief of the Australian Defence Force General Angus Campbell, Deputy Secretary Strategic Policy and Intelligence Peter Tesh and representatives from the Department of Defence and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, foreign embassies and defence attachés in Australia. Top legislator meets with Belarusian Prime Minister

The Belarusian PM said the exchange of visits by senior officials over the past time has created a firm foundation for the two countries to strengthen bilateral cooperative ties. Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh meets with Cambodian leaders

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh (L) and Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen (Source: VGP) Phnom Penh (VNA) – Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh had separate meetings on December 13 with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and acting President of the Cambodian National Assembly Khuon Sodary as part of his working visit to the country. Deputy PM Binh informed PM Hun Sen about the outcomes of the earlier talks with his Cambodian counterpart Men Sam An on December 12, during which the two sides agreed to direct ministries, departments and localities to enhance cooperation in all realms. Thailand promotes trade to support exports

Thailand’s exports in January-October 2019 reduced 2.4 percent year-on-year to 207.32 billion USD, while imports declined 4.1 percent to 199 billion USD. (Illustrative image. Source: thainews.prd) Bangkok (VNA) – Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce plans to cooperate with the private sector to promote trade in 16 countries to boost export growth in 2020, according to a local official. After talks with commerce officials on December 9, Thai Deputy Prime Minister cum Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit revealed that trade destinations targeted for 2020 include India, Japan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, France, the UK, the Middle East, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Cambodia and Timor Leste.
