This year’s display will show works with the theme of love for the country, daily activities, outside activities, children’s love for Uncle Ho, grandparents, parents and natural environmental protection issues of children aged from five to 15. Hosted by the Department of Performing Arts and directed by People’s Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, the event will include three parts: ‘An epic song’, ‘A unforgettable song’, and ‘Melodies of the Motherland’.
Songs and dances at the programme praising the glorious Party and beloved Uncle Ho while inspiring patriotism and national pride among the audience.
The programme will bring together veteran and popular artists including People’s Artist Thai Bao, Meritorious Artists Duc Long and Dang Duong, and singers My Linh, Hoang Quyen, Ngoc Anh, Anh Tho and Pham Thu Ha.
The programme is scheduled to be broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s Channel 2 at 8pm on April 29.
On display are impressive photos related to the foundation and development of Ba Dinh district – the ‘heart’ of Hanoi, the capital.
A photo exhibition entitled “Ba Dinh – History – Innovation and Development” is on display at Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Lieu Giai ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, celebrating the founding anniversaries of Ba Dinh district (May 31, 1961) and Ba Dinh Party Committee (June 6, 1961).

The exhibition consists of three parts, including the images and documents introducing the history of Ba Dinh district – the sacred land which is home to the Thang Long Imperial Citadel; achieve photos portraying Ba Dinh district as a national political-administrative center; and the pictures of former and incumbent state and communist party’s leaders relating to the land and people of Ba Dinh district.
A highlight of the exhibition is the photo set themed “Uncle Ho with people of Ba Dinh district”.
The exhibition is among a series of cultural events of Ba Dinh district to celebrate the 60th anniversaries of the founding of the district (May 31, 1961 – May 31, 2021) and the establishment of Ba Dinh district Party Committee (June 6, 1961 to June 6, 2021).
It also affirms the determination of the Party Committee, the authority and the people of Ba Dinh district to successfully implement the resolutions of the XIII Party Congress at all levels and the political tasks assigned by the city in the coming time.
The exhibition will last until May 7 with free admission.

Entries should reflect love for the nation, daily life of the children and their love for Uncle Ho, grandparents, parents and families, among others.
It aims to encourage and facilitate the development of children’s fine arts inside and outside school.
The organizing committee announced that entries should be sent to the head office of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition at No.38 Cao Ba Quat street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi from May 25 till July 5th.
From 400 excellent works, the organizing committee will present three first prizes, six second prizes, ten third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes in addition to 10 collective prizes.

|The festival was jointly organised by the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, the Performing Art Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Hanoi’s Department of Culture and Sports.|
|The event ran from October 4-13 with the participation of seven art troupes from Hungary, Israel, India, the Republic of Korea, China, Singapore, Greece, and host nation Vietnam.|
|According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, the festival offers a platform to talent from both at home and abroad to exchange experience and put on a culturally rich show for audiences.|
|The judging panel was made up of people’s artist Tran Minh Ngoc, associate professor Tran Tri Trac, French director Alain Destandau, Dr Chua Soo Pong of Singapore, and writer Chu Lai.|
|“The Fate of Kieu” by the Vietnam Water Puppetry Theatre, “Life” by the Vietnam Drama Theatre, “Uncle Vanya” by the Youth Theatre of Vietnam, and “Bpolar” by “Ayit” Ensemble of Israel all won four gold medals.|
|In addition, “Bloody fields” by Thessaly Theatre of Greece, “Macbeth Mirror” by Kalyani Kalamandalam of India, “Tale of an ancient painting” by the Shanghai Huaiju Opera Troupe of China, “Under the sand is water” by the Youth World Theatre, and “A thousand years of white clouds” by the Voice of Vietnam Theatre, five were all awarded silver medals.|
|Along with the medals, a number of additional prizes were awarded, including to people’s artist Nguyen Tien Dung for best director, and to Le Dinh Nguyen of the Vietnam Water Puppetry Theatre who won a prize for the best painter.|
|The organisers also presented the festival’s best artists with 20 gold medals.|
