A new US-Vietnam Cooperation Centre was opened on Tuesday at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam's campus in Hanoi. The opening ceremony saw the attendance of US Ambassador Knapper, Assistant Foreign Minister Do Hung Viet, Acting President of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam Pham Lan Dung, and Counselor for Public Affairs Pamnella DeVolder. A new US-Vietnam Cooperation Centre was opened at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam in Hanoi on May 24. The new US-Vietnam Cooperation Centre is a partnership between the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy in Hanoi and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. New US-Vietnam Cooperation Center inaugurated in Hanoi

The center will be a platform for educational and cultural programming, research support, and academic services. The new US-Vietnam Cooperation Center has officially come into operation after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), 69 Chua Lang Street, Hanoi. Speaking at the opening ceremony on May 25, US Ambassador Marc Evans Knapper said the center joins over 600 other American Spaces around the world, which encourage open dialogue and build bridges of understanding by serving as study centers for students and communal spaces for those interested in American culture and values. Education World Forum 2022 (EWF) has supported Vietnam to find opportunities for sustainable education partnerships, Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Hoang Long has said. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations co-organised an online debate on May 24 that highlighted the importance of protecting water sources and water supply infrastructure in armed conflicts. The debate, held in coordination with the Swiss, Senegalese and Slovenian missions, UNICEF, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the Peace Organisation (PAX), was part of the UN’s Protection of Civilians Week 2022. Vietnam’s scholars are ready for study success in Australia The 55 awardees, drawn by central and provincial governments, NGOs, academic institutions, and the private sector, will undertake studies in a range of areas that support Vietnam’s long-term development. These include natural resource management, entrepreneurship, gender equality, disability inclusion, and vocational education management. This year, the scholarships included ten students under the Mekong-Australia Partnership – a regional initiative by Australia to support Mekong countries with common challenges. These scholars will have access to additional enrichment activities that will equip them with the skills needed to contribute to Vietnam’s emerging regional challenges.
