According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), in August, Vietnam ’s seafood exports to its key markets such as China, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, and the UK reported year-on-year decreases of 35-45 percent. In the contrary, impressive growth was seen in shipments to niche markets . Specifically, Vietnam’s seafood exports to Mexico rose by 72 percent, the Philippines 58 percent, Spain 48 percent, Egypt 38 percent and Portugal 14 percent. Domestic retail petrol prices hit three-year high Domestic retail petrol prices rose by more than VND500 per litre on average as of 3pm on September 25 following the latest price adjustments made by both the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance. This latest changes have seen the retail price of E5 RON 92 bio-fuel record a rise of VND573 per to hit VND20,716 per litre, while that of RON 95 increased by VND548 to peak at VND21,945 per litre. Furthermore, the selling price of diesel 0.05S was capped at VND16,586 per litre, while the prices of kerosene and mazut oil stood at VND15,643 per litre and VND16,580per kilo, respectively. Hanoians were allowed to do outdoor exercises as of today after two months and a half. On Sept 28, Vietnam reported 4,589 coronavirus infections, the record low in the two months and a half. Today is the first day that the number of infections is one-fifth of the recovered. Ho Chi Minh City saw 377 cases, compared to 4,134 detected yesterday. So far, the country has 191,000 active cases, including nearly 19,000 deaths. Binh Duong has taken the lead with more than 206,000, or 8,410 cases per 100,000 residents, followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 4,162/100,000 residents, and Long An 1,896/100,000.
