As from January 28, the Northern provinces and cities are forecast to be covered with below 5- degree Celsius gelid climate. The Central region and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue will be able to suffer from chilling temperature between 15 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius and torrential rains on the large scale due to an impact of the cold air mass. Rains to end scorching hot spell in northern region
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, an Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone, which is being formed in the northern mountainous areas, can cause rains and strong winds in many northern localities. Northwestern mountainous areas, in particular, would face the heavier rains with rainfall of up to 100mm/24 hours. The northern region would face more rains on July 1-4. Hail and violent winds would happen during rains. The country’s average temperature in this summer has been predicted to be 0.5-1.5 degrees Celsius higher than that of previous years.
