Da Nang has launched a tourism promotion program to attract visitors to the city in the low season. Travel agents (including Danatours, Vietravel, Saigontourist), hotels and restaurants (including Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Sandy Beach, Phuong Dong, Ba Na, Saigontourane, Royal), shopping centres (including Big C, Intimex, Metro, CoopMart) and some other businesses in Da Nang have registered to take part in the program. These businesses will offer discounts from 10% to 50% for their products and services as well as other interesting promotion programs for customers from 1 to 30 November. Also, visitors travelling from Da Nang to Hoi An, Hue and My Son will benefit from a 15% off the usual price. Tourist Privilege Cards and Shopping Coupons will be available at the airport, bus and train stations, hotels and supermarkets. PANO – The Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has held a seminar on tourism promotion in four countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos with participation of leaders and representatives from these four countries’ tourism sector. The participants worked out programs and measures to develop tourism in these four countries and agreed with Vietnam’s initiative to produce advertising films “Four countries – One destination” on tourism potentials of the four countries.
