Ms. Ho Hai from Ben Cat City in the Southern Province of Binh Duong said that her child had a fever, vomiting, and jaundice; because she has read the information about the recommendations of the Ministry of Health on the internet, and fearing that her child would contract acute hepatitis; thus, she quickly took a bus from Binh Duong to take her child to Children's Hospital 1 for a medical checkup. 31st SEA Games officially opens
The event drew the attendance of Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairman of National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue and Party, State, and city leaders. Meanwhile, Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore Tan Chuan-Jin, heads of contingents of participating countries, and more than 10,000 athletes, coaches, members of 11 contingents from 11 Southeast Asian countries also attended the ceremony. Vietnamese “blue berets” conduct charity event in South Sudan
The charity event was part of the two hospitals’ handover activities, which aimed to convey a message that the next Vietnamese medical staff will continue charity and humanitarian activities launched by their colleagues to support local people. During the event, the two hospitals conducted the handover of equipment and shared experience in carrying out charity events and other activities to popularize the image of Vietnam, its culture, and people to international friends and people of the host country. COVID-19: Vietnam reports 2,227 new cases on May 13
Illustrative image (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded a total 2,227 new cases of COVID-19 and no death in the past 24 hours to 4pm May 13, according to the Ministry of Health. Hanoi reported the highest number of infections on the day with 495 cases, followed by Nghe An with 123 and Phu Tho with 120. The northern province of Bac Giang added 443 cases to the national log after verifying information. The country has to date logged 10,693,141 COVID-19 cases, including 43,063 deaths. A total 9,065 COVID-19 patients were given the all clear on May 13, bringing the number of recoveries so far to 9,344,029. There are 333 patients needing breathing support. By May 12, the country had injected 216,512,573 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, including 2,192,003 first shots for children from 5 to 11 years old./. Military Hospital 175 holds talk to mark International Nurses Day
