Police in Ho Chi Minh City are investigating a case where a woman allegedly murdered her own eighth-month baby before attempting to commit suicide at their rented house on Sunday. Officers in Hoc Mon District confirmed on Sunday evening they were investigating the reason behind the death of a baby girl. Preliminary information showed that a 36-year-old woman named N. and her eighth-month-old daughter were found lying motionless at a tenanted house in Trung Chanh Commune, Hoc Mon District on the morning of the same day. The baby girl had already died, while N. was still alive and rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. Police later arrived and coordinated with relevant agencies in examining the scene and carrying out a probe.
