Of the records, 11 were set by Vietnamese athletes , including swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang in the 400m freestyle and runner Nguyen Thi Oanh in the women’s 3,000m hurdles. AFP ran an article highlighting new records made at the 31st Southeast Asian Games ( SEA Games 31 ), which concluded in Vietnam on May 23. On average, the delta’s communes met 16.9 of the 19 criteria set under the national programme to build new-style rural areas at the end of last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The criteria cover infrastructure, transport, irrigation, electricity, the environment, income, education, healthcare, social security, and culture. Also at the end of last year the delta had 70 per cent of its communes meeting all criteria, the ministry said. In Cần Thơ City and Bạc Liêu Province, all are new-style rural communes. In particular, the Government has yet to arrange investment for about 171km of the expressway, he said. The Hồ Chí Minh Expressway project approved by the National Assembly in 2004 was once expected to be completed in 2010, with a total length of 3,183km, including its main line of 2,499km and a western branch of 684km long. The Book Road Festival is designed as an open and wide garden of books along Mac Thi Buoi Street, near flower street of Nguyen Hue from January 31st to February 6th. Rental market in HCMC sees uptick After a long time affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, many renters were able to benefit from price reductions but now housing demand spiked.
