Indonesia: 40 political parties register for 2024 General Election

Forty Indonesian political parties have registered to participate in 2024 General Election (Source: indonesia.postsen.com) Jakarta (VNA) – The General Elections Commission of Indonesia (KPU) has announced that 40 out of the 43 national parties that have Political Party Information System (Sipol) accounts had registered to participate in the 2024 General Election, as the registration period ended on August 14. KPU Commissioner August Mellaz said that the Peace and Prosperity Renewal Party, the Indonesian Student Party, and the People's Party have not registered until the deadline at 23:59 on August 14. According to him, as many as 24 parties have declared their documents complete, while the other 16 parties' files are still being examined by the KPU and their status will be announced on August 15. Vietnamese and Singaporean firms partner to improve supply chain connectivity

T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc SC (T&Y) – a joint venture between YCH Group and Vietnamese conglomerate T&T Group – inked two MoUs with VNA and VNR on August 12 to embark on the first multimodal connectivity partnerships for the first-of-its-kind smart logistics infrastructure project in Asia – Vietnam SuperPort – that is slated for completion by 2025. Vietnam SuperPort is the first multimodal infrastructure project invested in by a Singaporean firm in Vietnam. The project is expected to strengthen logistics and supply chain connectivity in the ASEAN region with the adoption of technologies and innovative solutions and driven by the strong economic ties made possible by the close partnership between Vietnam and Singapore and the strong business connections between the two nations.
