NovaGroup on Thursday receivedthe ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2022’ award from HR Asia magazine. Earlier its subsidiary, Novaland, won the award for three consecutive years until 2021. The HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia award recognises organisations that have been identified by their employees as anemployer of choice and endorses the choices. The award is targeted at companies across Asia and recognises companies with the best HR practices and which demonstrate high levels of employee engagement and excellent workplace cultures. The high-profile nature of this award attracts applications from across the board: Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations,government-linked companies, and other companies of various types. Hanoi will soon finish the administration of the third and fourth doses of the Covid-19 vaccines to adults and speed up the injection of the third dose among people aged 12 and over as soon as possible. Hanoi will intensify the Covid-19 pandemic combat with its highest sense of responsibility, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Chu Xuan Dung said at a meeting with relevant units this week. Dung appreciated the localities' efforts in stepping up the communication work over the past time, so the Covid-19 pandemic situation has been well controlled in the capital city. The visit was made on the occasion of the Vietnam high-ranking delegation’s trip to Laos to attend the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties (September 5, 1962 - 2022) and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977-2022). The capital city will give priority to young cadres or female cadres. Hanoi has made a plan to spend nearly VND90 billion (US$3.9 million) to train public servants in developed countries, according to the municipal People’s Committee. The committee said early this week that its overseas training project will focus on refreshing and enhancing professional knowledge and skills for around 500 cadres, civil servants, and public employees from the city’s six departments during the 2022-25 period. These departments need to make detailed plans for their qualified employees to take such refresher courses in Australia, Germany, France, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the US and among others, the committee added. Kim said the Republic of Korea (RoK) is working hard to help regional countries improve environmental and water matters towards sustainable development, and that it is ready to share experience and transfer advanced technology for waste treatment and water purification to Hanoi and Vietnam as a whole. Presenting the capital’s Hoan Kiem district with equipment turning food waste into organic fertilizer, he expressed his hope that the equipment will help improve waste treatment and the environment in Hanoi and be used across the city in the time ahead.
