(Photo: Vietnam Plus) Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Labour , Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), in collaboration with UN agencies and the Australian Aid, launched a campaign on July 5 to enhance public awareness of women and children protection, spreading the message of zero tolerance for violence against children and women. The initiative is built on the 2020 campaign to raise public awareness and change individual and societal behaviour, helping prevent violence before it begins. According to the organisers, the campaign calls for attention and support from the whole community to create a violence-free environment in families, schools and community as well as on cyber space. Addressing the launching ceremony, UNICEF Chief Representative in Vietnam Rana Flowers said that the campaign calls on citizens, lawmakers and the Government to speak out more strongly against violence. Bac Giang expands development space for industry, services. - Illustrative image (Photo: baobacgiang.com.vn) Bac Giang (VNA) – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province Le Anh Duong said the province will focus investment on developing socio-economic infrastructure , aiming to create breakthroughs to attract investment in the time ahead. According to Duong, Bac Giang plans to accelerate work to complete several key projects early, including a 7-storey building for the provincial hospital, and expansion of the functional rehabilitation hospital and medical centres of Tan Yen, Lang Giang and Hiep Hoa districts. Through the "Doctor for Everyone" online platform, health station in Bản Phùng Commune (the northern mountainous province of Hà Giang) is connected to Hoàng Su Phì District's health centre. — Photo courtesy of UNDP/Thanh Hà HÀ NỘI — Technology in remote health centres is helping improve the quality of life for patients living in mountainous areas. Medical staff can instantly talk to other professionals across the country to seek consultation and guidance using the telemedicine system. It’s also helping to reduce overcrowding at health facilities. The system was put in place by the UNDP and Electronic Health Administration under the Ministry of Health (EHA-MOH), the departments of Health of Hà Giang, Bắc Kạn, and Lạng Sơn provinces two years ago.
