Greece presents EUR 50,000 in support of Vietnamese sport
The donation aims to help Vietnam promote sport development, according to the administration. Vo Huynh Anh Khoa surpassed his opponents to win gold in the men's 50m butterfly - S8 with a time of 30:47 seconds. This marked the third gold medal won by the Ho Chi Minh City-born swimmer at the Games. The gold went to Pham Quoc Viet, Bui Anh Tuan and Nguyen Quang Tri who topped the men's poomsae (performance) team event. The women's team of Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Truong Pham Phuong Khanh and Le Thụy Thu Van took the silver. Viet took his second medal with a bronze in the men's poomsae individual event. Duo Tri and Le Tran Kim Uyen secured a bronze in the mixed doubles poomsae. Earlier, the e-sport team finished third in the men's team Arena of Valor event after beating Brunei in the playoff match. Vietnam ranks third at ASEAN Para Games 2022

(Photo: VNA) Jakarta (VNA) – Vietnam claimed 183 medals, including 65 golds, 62 silvers and 56 bronzes, ranking third on the medal table at the 11th ASEAN Para Games , which concluded in Surakarta, Indonesia, on August 6. It was the highest number of medals Vietnam has ever achieved since it hosted the Games in 2003. The Vietnam ese team initially set a target to gain 35 – 40 gold medals at the regional games. Vietnam has broken 16 records this year, 14 of which were in swimming.
