Laos launches writing contest on special relations with Vietnam

Speaking at the launching ceremony, head of the commission Khamphan Pheuyavong, who is also deputy head of the Lao national steering committee for organising activities in celebration of the Laos -Vietnam Friendship and Solidarity Year, stressed that art works such as stories, poems and chanties are a good tool to review, record and store the tradition of the bilateral relations, and also an effective way for young generations to understand more about the ties. Zero Waste to Mekong River project launched
A floating market in Can Tho City Can Tho City is a poetic river tourism destination and is facing a waste pollution issue, especially plastic waste. In order to make Can Tho to be a civilized and clean city, over the past years, the city has developed initiatives to promote waste collection and segregation at source. Among those efforts, the project “Zero Waste to Mekong River: Pilot Circular Economy model for Floating markets in Can Tho” was approved by the concerned authorities in March 2022. Accordingly, this project is funded by Dow Chemical Vietnam LLC (Dow Vietnam) and implemented by Center for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub) and Research Center for Resources and Rural Development (RECERD) with the support and joint efforts of Can Tho People's Committee, Can Tho Department of Natural Resources and Environment and local authorities in Binh Thuy and Cai Rang districts. (Photo: VNA) Quang Ninh (VNA) – Vietnam advanced to the women’s football final at SEA Games 31 after securing a 1 - 0 win over Myanmar in the semifinal at Cam Pha Stadium in Quang Ninh province on May 18 evening. As soon as the match started, Vietnamese players launched continual attacks, but Myanmar managed to deal with those offences. The game’s turning point occurred in the 28th minute, when captain Huynh Nhu of Vietnam scored a header goal after receiving the ball passed in the air from Tuyet Dung.
