During takeoff, the crew of the VN957 flight from Hanoi to Myanmar last Friday found a South Korean man, whose name has yet to be revealed, convulsing, the Ministry of Transport said Tuesday citing a source from the national flag carrier. Immediately, the flight crew informed the incident to the airport's ground service staff for medical assistance and asked the captain to return to Noi Bai International Airport. The passenger was then rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment. The flight departed 49 minutes late. 164 Vietnamese students reported ‘missing’ in South Korea: media
South Korea police officers are searching for 164 Vietnamese students enrolled at Incheon National University’s Korean Language School after they have not shown up in class for 15 days, Korean media reported. According to the Yonhap News Agency, the university reported the case to police on Tuesday in accordance with a law mandating universities to report foreign students skipping classes for 15 days. The students are among 1,900 Vietnamese students on a one-year Korean language training program at the university. According to the school, the program began four months ago. Police believe the missing students’ purpose of coming to South Korea was to get a job after learning Korean for a short time. The school has informed the immigration department about the students’ absence. Ministry takes responsibilty for missing members of NA official visit to South Korea
The Ministry of Planning and Investment has taken responsibility at a press conference on October 2 for nine Vietnamese people who absconded while on an official delegation to South Korea. Nguyen Duc Trung, deputy head of the Ministry of Planning and Investment Nguyen Duc Trung, deputy head of the Ministry of Planning and Investment said, "Many agencies were assigned to prepare for the trip, including us. We co-operated with related parties and the police to review the enterprises and the members of the delegation."
