Vietnam makes unremitting efforts to end violence against women and children

Millions of children, including those in Vietnam, are victims of physical, sexual, and emotional violence in families, schools, and the internet. The Vietnamese Government has been making unremitting efforts to end violence against women and children over the past years, paying special attention to the negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on people. Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) Nguyen Thi Ha made the statement at the launching ceremony for the Blue Heart Campaign 2022 held in Hanoi on July 5. Themed “No tolerance to violence against children and women”, the campaign calls on people to take action in response to violence against children and women. Two senators call for FTC probe into TikTok over U.S. data access

The request on Tuesday from Senator Mark Warner, a Democrat, and Republican Marco Rubio followed a Buzzfeed report saying the short video app permitted TikTok engineers and executives in China to repeatedly access private data of U.S. users. The senators said such access raised questions over TikTok's claims to lawmakers and users that the data was protected. "In light of repeated misrepresentations by TikTok concerning its data security, data processing, and corporate governance practices, we urge you to act promptly on this matter," the senators wrote FTC Chair Lina Khan. TikTok said Tuesday that access to data "is subject to a series of robust controls, safeguards like encryption for certain data, and authorization approval protocols overseen by our U.S.-based leadership/security team." HCMC has 158 testing venues in 2022 national high school graduation exam

Around 85,088 students, including 73,877 students of high schools, 7,883 test-taker of continuing education centers and 3,328 freelance candidates will take part in the 2022 national high school graduation examination with 13,656 education officials, teachers and staff teachers to serve the exam. The organization of this year’s exam remains basically the same as in previous years with three independent tests in Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Languages and a custom test in natural science Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Sciences (History, Geography, and Citizen Education) chosen by the candidates. Rental assistance package for workers disbursed at snail’s pace

The government in late March issued a decision to grant a financial support package of VND6.6 trillion ($287.4 million) to help migrant workers pay rent for up to three months. The package is to be given to 3.4 million people by mid-August. As approved by the government, each worker will receive VND500,000-1 million per month over no more than three months.
