As part of the agreement, the two companies intend to collaborate on learning and development, quality assurance, the joint creation of new lines of products and services, and corporate social responsibility efforts in the country. IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) – one of the world’s leading hotel companies – and Sun Hospitality Group (SHG) – a member of Sun Group – will expand their decade-long partnership to develop four hotels in Vietnam, offering 2,709 rooms to accommodate increasing demand from domestic and international visitors. The expansion of Ba Na Hills – Vietnam's highland entertainment complex – will feature three IHG brands: Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Resort, and voco. In addition, the Holiday Inn Resort brand will make its debut in Quang Ninh Province, at Yoko Park, a large-scale hot-spring resort. Cooperation bringing Vietnam-ese tourism to new heights Changes in tourist behaviour and intentions, along with challenges in the context of a gradual recovery of the industry, are affecting the development strategies of Vietnam’s leading tourism-hotel groups. Corporations such as Sun Group, Vingroup, Bitexco, and CEO Group are leaning toward cooperating with international hotel management groups instead of building and developing their own resorts as before.
