Hanoi (VNA) – No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Vietnam over the past 12 hours, and the national count remains at 1,095 as of 6pm on October 1, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control. During the day, eight patients were given the all-clear, raising the total recoveries to 1,018. Among those still under treatment, one has tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, two negative twice and five negative thrice. There are not any serious cases among active patients. The total COVID-19 fatalities remain at 35, with most dead patients being elderly people with serious underlying diseases.
