Viettel urged to make greater contributions to national development

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 16 asked the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) to make greater efforts to contribute further to promoting socio-economic development and building an independent, self-reliant economy with active and effective international integration. The PM made the request during a working session with leaders of the group, which was connected to Viettel branches in 63 localities nationwide and 10 foreign markets after visiting the firm's hi-tech park. President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum reopens

A trip to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum can be an extraordinary experience for any visitor. The Mausoleum of late President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi reopened to the public today [August 16] after regular maintenance since June 13, according to the mausoleum’s Management Board. The activities honoring the late President and the heroic martyrs will also resume today. Vietnam chairs ceremony marking ASEAN’s 55th founding anniversary in Japan

Army Games 2022 opens in Moscow

This year event drew the participation of 264 teams from 34 nations to compete in 34 events. Its competitions take place in 12 countries, namely Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, and Vietnam. It will last till August 27. Army Games 2022: Vietnamese Special Breakthrough contingent ready for the competition

The Vietnamese contingent consists of 12 members who are cadets at Zhukovsky Air Force Academy in Voronezh city, Russia. According to the head of the contingent, Staff Sergeant Bui Trong Tien, ten contingents from Vietnam, Russia, Belarus, Cambodia, Abkhazia, Armenia, Mali, Mongolia, Congo, Zimbabwe, and Tajikistan will compete in this year’s special Breakthrough event. Having received instructions on the event’s contents by the organizing panel, participating contingents started practice.
