Hanoi-headquartered Techcombank recorded another year of stellar financial performance and growth in 2021, while continuing to support its customers, employees and communities in Vietnam, especially those impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Navigating legal challenges in healthcare partnerships
Public-private partnership (PPP) is a mechanism and common practice to mobilise and encourage investment in areas promoted by governments. The main characteristic of such projects is that both private investors and public authorities share the risks and responsibilities in construction and operation. The public sector typically contributes only a small portion to these projects, with the private sector still in charge of construction and operation. The risks of these projects typically involve the phases of selection, approval, design, construction, financing, operation, and management phases. Over the years, Vietnam issued several decrees before the new Law on Public-Private Partnership Investment was promulgated in 2020 and took effect from January 2021. Monsoon to cause downpours across southern Vietnam
Downpours are in the forecast across southern Vietnam over the next days due to the influence of a southwest monsoon. Due to the effect of the southwest monsoon, medium to heavy rains are expected to hit large areas across the region from Monday to Wednesday, according to the southern hydro-meteorological forecasting. The average rainfall will be 50 to 120 millimeters in southeast localities, including Ho Chi Minh City, and 50 to 130 millimeters in the Mekong Delta. The downpours will be accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, gusts, and hail. The weather condition will pose a high risk of flooding in low-lying areas. As of Monday morning, clouds had already formed and caused rains in many locations throughout southern Vietnam.
