With more than three centuries of experience in making hats, Chuong village is famous for its completely handmade, durable, beautiful products that were chosen for kings in olden times. The market opens only three hours a day, six times a month, on the 4th, 10th, 14th, 20th, 24th, and 30th, to sell hats and materials supplied by craftsmen in villages around Hanoi. Vietjet Air has requested the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the corporation in charge of all of Vietnam’s airports, for permission to operate air routes to the Con Dao airport in southern Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. Vietjet Air said that the company has agreed with its partners to provide two or three Airbus A319 carriers, that can seat 160 passengers, for the proposed flights to Con Dao. The routes Vietjet is proposing are Hanoi – Con Dao and HCMC – Con Dao with four to six flights a day. Currently Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO), a subsidiary of national carrier Vietnam Airlines, is the only company operating flights between Con Dao airport, HCMC and southern Can Tho City using ATR-72 aircraft, which are smaller aircraft that can seat 78 passengers. Thousands of people have spent their weekend day collecting garbage around Hanoi in an event named "Keep Hanoi Clean". The event marked the beginning of the European Climate Diplomacy Week in Vietnam, which is jointly held by the EU delegation in Vietnam and other European embassies, with the aim of raising awareness on environmental protection and climate change. According to Bruno Angelet, EU Ambassador to Vietnam, the activity is a worldwide one. In 156 countries including Vietnam on September 15, people join efforts to clean up their cities, in an event named “World Cleanup Day”. The event initially started in Estonia, where in 2008 some 50,000 volunteers were mobilized on one day to collect 10,000 tons of garbage just in five hours. A study of nearly half a million people in China suggests a daily egg may reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes. But fears that eating too many eggs can be bad for you appear to have been laid to rest. "One can deliberate on the many limitations and caveats of nutritional research, but the take-home message of this research from a large study from China is that at the very least up to one egg a day is not linked with raised cardiovascular risk, and at best up to one egg a day may even have health benefits," says Prof Nita Forouhi, of the University of Cambridge.The study, in the journal Heart, follows years of bad press for the humble egg - from salmonella scares to cholesterol fears.
