KiotViet, a store management software provider launched in 2014, offers cloud-based point-of-sale sales management solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises. The $6 million would be used to accelerate its expansion, especially in remote areas, diversify service segments and develop its leadership team, the company said. Elsa Chandra, assistant vice president of investment at travel booking startup Traveloka, and Grace Yun Xia, principal at Jungle Ventures, will join KiotViet’s management team. KiotViet provides services to over 70,000 stores around the country. Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — FPT Digital Retail JSC (FRT) is aiming for VNĐ17.8 trillion (US$76 million) and VNĐ418 billion in net revenue and post-tax profit this year, up 16 per cent and 20 per cent year-on-year, respectively. The information was released during the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting held in HCM City on Wednesday. The company, under the umbrella of leading technology, outsourcing and IT services group FPT Corporation, operates in the field of retail trade. Major products include electronics and appliances, computers and software. At the meeting, shareholders approved the plan to pay 2018 dividends at a rate of 25 per cent, of which 10 per cent will be paid in cash and 15 per cent in shares. Price Waterhouse Cooper’s (PwC) 2018 Global Economic Crime and Fraud Survey in Vietnam finds that 52% of Vietnamese enterprises had experienced economic crime in the past two years. This is the first PwC survey in Vietnam. According to the survey, this crime rate is higher than the average in Asia-Pacific's 46% and the global rate of 49%. Even though 40% of the asked people said they hadn't encountered any criminals, it's highly likely that the crimes just haven't been exposed yet. The most common crime in Vietnam is embezzlement with 40% votes and bribes and corruption with 36%. 11% of the asked people don't know or don't want to say. About 53% of the criminals in major cases are insiders with 61% of them are low-level or middle-level managers. 32% of the surveyed said they suffered more than USD100,000 in damage not to mention damage to reputation and business relations.
