Tay Ninh (VNA) – A high-tech poultry incubation factory was inaugurated in the southern province of Tay Ninh on April 17 by Bel Ga Joint Stock Company which is strongly supported by two family-owned European companies: Belgabroed and De Heus Group.

The inaugural ceremony attracted the participation of leading officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tay Ninh province and its surrounding provinces, and representatives from the Embassies of Belgium, the Netherlands and Indonesia in Vietnam, the Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association, and the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.

This is the second high-tech poultry incubation factory established by Bel Ga in Vietnam, after its first one in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong. With a total investment of 200 billion VND (8.66 million USD), the factory has a designed capacity of over 19 million chicks per year in the first stage, and 38.4 million chicks per year in the second stage.

Kris Van Daele, General Director of Bel Ga Vietnam and Cambodia, said that the company’s day-old chicks will meet GlobalGAP standards as biological safety in husbandry and production are monitored closely.

Chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Ngoc said that the factory is one of Tay Ninh’s outstanding projects, contributing to realising the province’s goal of agricultural restructuring and transformation./.

Malaysian business circle urges government to expedite ratification of RCEP, CPTPP

April 18, 2021 by en.qdnd.vn

FMM President Tan Sri Soh Thian Lai said in a statement on April 16 that the two FTAs will enable local manufacturers to benefit from the diversification of import sources of industrial inputs and components.

According to Soh, the CPTPP eliminates tariffs on nearly 96 percent of products entering the intra-regional trade and the RCEP will likely cover 90 percent of these products. For Malaysia, the two FTAs will complement each other.

He held that the further integration of regional economies under RCEP and CPTPP, in addition to providing Malaysian exporters with preferential access to growing markets across the Asia Pacific, allows for increase in imports of raw materials and natural-resource-based materials from Latin America and Canada.

According to him, the two FTAs will help reduce costs and time for companies by allowing them to both import and export products anywhere within the East Asia region without meeting the separate requirements for each country.

He said the FMM commends the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) on its commitment to complete domestic procedures for the ratification of RCEP by the first quarter of 2022.

However, the FMM called on the government to hasten the ratification process for RCEP to be implemented by this year to benefit businesses in this time of need as it is imperative to stabilize manufacturing activities and rebuild supply chain connectivity in the region.

Great benefits for investors and shareholders from Phat Dat’s shares in 2021

April 15, 2021 by www.vir.com.vn

great benefits for investors and shareholders from phat dats shares in 2021
The Astral City project by Phat Dat along National Road No.13 in Binh Duong city

At the 2021 annual general meeting of shareholders, Phat Dat approved the third dividend payment (the final dividend) of 2020 at the rate of 11.7 per cent in shares, resulting in a total of 3-time share dividends for 2020 at 28.7 per cent. This is a strong affirmation of the benefits the company offers from dividends for its shareholders and investors.

Dividends have been made regularly and continuously, bringing the total dividend ratio up to 53.7 per cent since 2019.

In 2020, Phat Dat made three share dividend payments to shareholders: 7 per cent, 10 per cent, and 11.7 per cent for the last payment expectedly made in the middle of the second quarter of 2021. Previously, tapping 2019’s profit, Phat Dat paid two dividends, including 12 per cent in cash and 13 per cent in shares.

Distributing 2020’s profit by stock dividends enables outstanding benefits to shareholders and investors, showing the Board of Directors and Board of Management’s great determination to promote the interests of the company’s investors and shareholders.

Thus, by way of share dividends, shareholders and investors will receive the following benefits:

First, compared to cash dividends, the total value of 2020’s share dividends (return on investment) would be over 7 times higher if the shareholder held shares during all three dividends to the end of May 2021 and 5.7 times higher if the shareholder sold shares right after the payment date. In this way, shareholders and investors can accumulate assets faster in the current context where the company made such strong growth and development.

As of April 6, 2021, Phat Dat’s shares price were valued at VND67,800. According to SSI’s assessments on investment and valuation, “SSI produces recommendations by applying RNAV [area navigation] method, and PDR’s RNAV is 4 per cent higher than the current share price. Presently, PDR is trading with 2021’s P/E and P/B of 12.4x and 3.8x, respectively.”

Simultaneously, PDR’s share price has increased by 138 per cent compared to 2019 and is expected to continue to grow in the coming time, providing even greater benefits to investors and shareholders.

Second, the average time shareholders receive additional shares is only 1 month (compared to the market average of at least 2-3 months) thanks to the company’s synchronous process to create favourable conditions crediting shares on investors’ accounts.

Finally, PDR’s liquidity on the market is considerably high, especially after PDR entered the VN30 basket.

In 2015-2020, Phat Dat achieved a high growth rate in terms of business results, sustainable financial structure, and improved profitability, resulting in the net revenue increasing by 8.8 times (a compound annual growth rate [CAGR] of 54 per cent) and in the after-tax profit of the parent company’s shareholders increasing by 7.6 times (a CAGR of 50 per cent).

Therefore, the company possesses a stable cash flow to pay cash/share dividends to shareholders regularly at a rate of 20-30 per cent per year from the distribution of after-tax profit.

Thus, with the upcoming 11.7 per cent share dividend, PDR wishes to constantly increase benefits and surplus value for shareholders and investors in the future.

HCM City adjusts zoning plan for innovative hub

June 1, 2020 by vietnamnet.vn

The HCM City Department of Planning and Architecture has proposed a 1:2000 scale for zoning of three areas in the eastern part of the city.

HCM City has proposed adjustments tothree areas in the eastern part of the city that will become an innovativesmart-cityhub.— Phototuoitre.vn

The areas, which include Linh Trung and Truong Tho in Thu Duc District and Tam Da in District 9, are part of high-tech, innovative hub development zone.

Under the proposal, the Linh Trung area, which connects the city’s university village and High Tech Park, would have four land areas adjusted with a total area of 28ha.

Most of the areas are public land under the management of Agriculture-Forestry University and Saigon Water Co-operation (Sawaco).

The Linh Trung area will become the National University IT & EduTech Hub under the master plan for the area.

The Truong Tho area, the innovative hub for the area, would have three land plots adjusted with a total area of 8ha.

The three areas would have sustainable infrastructure adapted to climate change, transportation and technology.

In addition, 28ha of the Tam Da area would become the Tam Da eco tech hub in the future.

The proposals for adjustments to the master plan are in line with the plan of creating a smart hub in the eastern of the city.

The adjustments would also help the city call for investors and improve the city’s management capability.

Last year, the city launched a contest on the planning concept for the smart innovative area in the eastern of the city.

Sasaki Associates Inc, a US architecture and design solution firm, won first prize worth VNĐ4.5 billion (US$193,960).

Sasaki proposed forming six innovation hotspots in the eastern part of the city with infrastructure for a hi-tech and smart urban development zone.

Six innovation hotspots include Thu Thiem Urban and Financial Centre, Rach Chiec Sport and Wellness Hub, Saigon Hi-Tech Park and Automated Manufacturing Hub, National University IT & EduTech Hub, Tam Da EcoTech Hub,  and Truong Tho Future Hub.

These six hotspots are located in districts 2, 9 and Thủ Đức.

The HCM City Department of Home Affairs has submitted a plan to the People’s Committee on the merger of these three districts and 19 wards in districts 3, 4, 5, 10 and Phu Nhuan to form the creative hub.

After the merger, the new hub is expected to spread over more than 211sq.km and be home to more than 1.1 million people. The eastern area is expected to become an innovation hub based on a digital, knowledge-based economy. — VNS

HCM CITY — Dầm Trầu Beach on Côn Đảo Island in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province has been included on the list of the world’s 25 best beaches by US travel magazine Travel+Leisure .

Dầm Trầu Beach, located near the Côn Đảo airport at the edge of Côn Đảo National Park and about 4km from Côn Đảo centre, is one of the most attractive destinations on the island.

On their journey to explore the Côn Đảo Islands, tourists will be surprised by many small islands in the beautiful long coastal areas here.

With golden sand, soft swells and shady groves of bamboo and evergreen trees, it’s the kind of place to spend the day gently swinging in a hammock with a beach read and walking in the surf with a freshly hacked coconut, according to the site.

Travel+Leisure said that due to its location close to the airport, “commercial flights fly thrillingly close”, giving swimmers a chance to watch planes take off and land.

Other beaches included in the list were Clearwater Beach in the US, Saud Beach in the Philippines, Railay West in Thailand, and Elafonissi Beach in Greece. VNS
