AIP Foundation is gathering with government partners, the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC), the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Transport, the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee, the Gia Lai Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, and relevant partners for a workshop to celebrate the milestones of the Slow Zones, Safe Zones program thus far and kickstart the extension phase. At a meeting with U.N. Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. The first Lotus Festival 2022 will take place in Cao Lanh City, the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap from May 19 through May 21. The festival is expected to open in Cao Lanh City, the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap from May 19 through May 21 aiming to honor the lotus and promote the cultural and economic values of products, souvenirs made from Dong Thap-based lotus plants; thereby, to boost the development of the lotus planting industry along with tourism development; develop typical products; attract more tourists to the Mekong Delta province and contribute to the local socio-economic development. UNDP Photo HÀ NỘI - Nguyễn Thị Huyên, 65, now lives in a safe house thanks to a programme initiated by the Government, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Huyên, from Tuyết Điệm 1 Village in the central coastal province of Quảng Ngãi, suffers from sciatica and lives alone. Every day, she relied on neighbours to bring her food and daily necessities. She lived in difficult circumstances in an old shanty house that had its roof blown off during bad weather.
