Presidents education awards program

During the program, women’s union of Ngu Phung commune were equipped with knowledge on the Party’s guidelines and State’s laws and policies relating to defense and security work in the border areas and sea and islands. Meanwhile, they also got familiar with the basic contents of the Laws on Vietnam Border Guard, Marriage and Family, Gender Equality, Prevention of and Combat against Human Trafficking, among others. On this occasion, the organizing panel handed over 10 gifts (worth VND 300,000 each) to needy women, and presented 30 national flags, planted 60 trees in Ngu Phung commune while visiting and offering gifts to troops at the Border Post of Phu Quy Port Border Gate. Hoàng Thanh Du, the play's author, said that it was based on real documents of lawyer Nguyễn Trọng Tỵ,  former Judge of the Supreme People's Court, who helped clarify many wrongful conviction cases. ' Lá đơn thứ 72' (The 72nd Letter) tells the story of Đỗ Minh, a Party member and former local official who was sentenced to eight years in prison for murder. Most members of the Committee for Culture and Education disagreed with making History an optional subject at the high school level for many reasons. First, History is a particularly important subject, playing a key role in political and ideological education for the young generation; educating patriotism, national self-esteem, cultural and historical traditions; fostering the thinking capacity and proper actions and behaviors in social life; thereby forming the qualities of Vietnamese citizens in the development trend of the times. Secondly, in terms of age, high school students, from the age of 15 to 17, mature in awareness and have better receptive ability about the national history. This is also the age that determines the formation of worldview, the system of views about nature, society, principles and behavior rules, and human value orientation. The Council of Rectors in universities in HCMC was approved including Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai who was voted to be Chairman while Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Duong Anh Duc was voted to be permanent Vice Chairman of the Council.
