Hanoi Times - So far, the Northern Province of Bac Ninh's Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has completed several projects, works and publications on the preservation of Quan Ho musical culture. These results have helped the Quan Ho Profile Making Committee under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to submit their profile to the National Culture Heritage Council and the government for approval. The profile will be then proposed to UNESCO for recognition as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity on September 30th. The committee completed scientific reports on Quan Ho musical culture; produced videos and photo albums about the activities of Quan Ho according to requirements of UNESCO; and published a book on an international scientific seminar on the preservation and promotion of Quan Ho in order to make public the ideas of both Vietnamese and foreign scientists on this specific folk art.
