Henley Index: Japanese passport now world’s most powerful
There are few things more liberating than travel -- although some passports offer more freedom than others. A new report published in October 2018 reveals just how many borders some travel documents can cross. According to the Henley Passport Index, compiled by global citizenship and residence advisory firm Henley & PartnersCitizens, Japan now has the most powerful passport on the planet. Having gained visa-free access to Myanmar earlier this month, Japanese citizens can now enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to a whopping 190 destinations around the world -- knocking Singapore, with 189 destinations, into second place. The UAE passport has overtaken those of Singapore and Germany to become the most powerful passport in the world on December 1, according to the Passport Index. UAE passport holders could enter 167 countries without the need for pre-visa requirement which does not only facilitate UAE nationals to travel freely for tourism but also for business and even humanitarian benefits. EVN powers up customer service, internal reforms
(VEN) - New local and international ranking reflect efforts embraced in recent years by the state-owned Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) to reform administrative procedures and improve customer services, in addition to ensuring reliable power supplies. Higher rankings According to the 2017 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) report jointly compiled by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), power supply ranked second in terms of public services in Vietnam. Some 74 percent of the firms surveyed reported being satisfied with the service, up from 69 percent in 2016. The number of power cut hours per month fell significantly, according to the report. Furthermore, 75 percent of firms acknowledged that they were informed ahead of time about power cuts, giving them time to prepare. MARD announces ranking of agro-forestry-fisheries safety management
Fifteen localities are on the list of meeting requirements, while none is on the group of showing modest performance, according to the ranking, which has been released for the third time so far. The Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh topped the ranking with 87.5 out of 100 points, followed by Can Tho, Hau Giang, Ninh Thuan, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Ha Tinh, Son La, Quang Binh, Dong Nai, Lai Chau, Binh Phuoc and Quang Ninh.
