Normally, January-June period is the peak season for IT sector recruitment and job hopping is rife, Phuong said, adding that this year had bucked the trend. "The number of applicants was down by 50-60 percent for all positions. "Many candidates called for interviews, said they "no longer intended to change their jobs," Phuong said. Nguyen Khanh Linh, deputy HR manager of FPT Telecom, said the number of new applicants fell by 30 percent from last year despite efforts to expand recruitment channels. However, skyrocketing prices of raw materials and logistics costs will weigh on these companies’ gross profit margin in 2022. VNDIRECT Securities Corporation (VNDIRECT) estimated that the total revenue of listed wood and wood products companies in the first quarter (Q1) of 2022 rose by 10.2% year-on-year thanks to the recovery of wood producers in the south.
