(Photo: VNA)   Hanoi (VNA) – Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese NA left Hanoi on December 8 for official visits to Russia and Belarus. Her visit to Russia is made from December 8 – 11 at the invitation of Chairwoman of the Federation Council V. Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma of Russia V. Volodin. She will visit Belarus from December 12 – 14 at the invitation of Chairman of the Council of the National Assembly Mikhail Myasnikovich and Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko. Farmers of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Agricultural JSC (HNG) (Source: haagrico.com.vn) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco) has registered to buy five million shares of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Agricultural JSC (HNG). HNG is the business arm of farming group Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (HAG). Thaco expects to spend 73 billion VND (3.2 million USD) for the acquisition. The transactions will be conducted via agreement or order matching method, from December 4 this year to January 2 next year. After the purchase, Thaco will hold 296.4 million HNG shares, 26.7 percent of the firm. Thaco currently holds 291.4 million HNG shares. Thaco and HAG signed a cooperation contract in August 2018. Thaco Chairman Tran Ba Duong pledged to pour capital into HNG, help implement the HAG Myanmar project and arrange HNG’s loan structure. Illustrative image (Source: Vietjet Air) New Delhi (VNA) – The first direct flight from Hanoi to India’s New Delhi landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport on December 7 night after travelling for more than five hours. Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau was present at the airport to welcome passengers of the flight that was operated by budget carrier Vietjet Air. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Archers Loc Thi Dao, Do Thi Anh Nguyet and Nguyen Thi Phuong won the first gold medal for Vietnam’s archery team at the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in the Philippines on December 8. The Vietnamese trio defeated their Myanmar rivals 6 – 2 at the women’s team one-string bow final. At the women’s individual one-string bow event, Loc Thi Dao took home a gold medal after she defeated the Myanmar archer rival 6-2. Then, Loc and her teammate Nguyen Hoang Phi Vu won another gold medal at the mixed doubles one-string bow event.
