Đinh Xuân Nghĩ, head of the city’s police, said the accident occurred at 3:40am in front of a residential house at No.208 Hùng Vương Street, Thanh Hà District. The two were travelling on one motorbike when the accident happened. The victims have been identified as Denver Christopher Marcus (born in 1997) and Thompson Peth May (born in 1998), both UK nationals, who were staying at a hotel on Cửa Đại Street. Two British tourists die from traffic accident in Hoi An City
The scene where two British tourists get accident this morning. According to initial information, the traffic accident occurred in front of a house at 208 Hung Vuong Street, Thanh Ha Ward, Hoi An City at 3:40 a.m. on May 16. The two victims were identified as Denver Christophe Marcus (25 years old) and Thompson Peth May (24 years old) holding British citizen cards. The foreigners got the accident while they traveled by a motorbike from the city of Hoi An to Dien Nam Dong Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province. Right after receiving the information, the police of Hoi An City were at the scene for inspection and took the bodies of the two foreigners to the morgue of Hoi An General Hospital. Tourist falls off boat, drowns in Ha Long Bay
The tourist boat Long Giang 68 was on a tour of the bay with 15 tourists on Saturday afternoon when Nguyen Ngoc Phat, 43, a visitor from the southern Can Tho City, stood on the prow. Tourist dies after falling off cruise ship in Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay
A tourist died after falling off a cruise ship as it was approaching a port in Ha Long Bay, a famous destination in northern Vietnam, last weekend. The People’s Committee in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province confirmed on Sunday that local units had found the body of Nguyen Ngoc Phat, 43, a visitor from the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho. Phat was among the 15 passengers who boarded the Long Giang cruise ship in Ha Long Bay on Saturday. The ship, which has a capacity of 48 passengers, was steered by captain Tran Duy Cuong, 39, a resident of Ha Long. At around 5:00 pm that day, the boat was carrying the tourists from Sung Sot Cave back to the mainland.
