Vietnam’s scholars ready for study success in Australia

Vietnam’s scholars are ready for study success in Australia The 55 awardees, drawn by central and provincial governments, NGOs, academic institutions, and the private sector, will undertake studies in a range of areas that support Vietnam’s long-term development. These include natural resource management, entrepreneurship, gender equality, disability inclusion, and vocational education management. This year, the scholarships included ten students under the Mekong-Australia Partnership – a regional initiative by Australia to support Mekong countries with common challenges. These scholars will have access to additional enrichment activities that will equip them with the skills needed to contribute to Vietnam’s emerging regional challenges. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Two Vietnamese university professors were honoured with the Kovalevskaya Award 2021 for their outstanding achievements in applied sciences at a May 16 ceremony with Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan in attendance. The event was held by the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee in Hanoi. The awardees were Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai, Vice Rector of the University of Science at the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM); and Prof., Dr. and Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Minh Thuy, a senior lecturer in food technology at the Faculty of Agriculture, the Can Tho University. Scientist brings solar energy closer to people

When beginning his journey to the US at the age of 20, Nguyễn Trọng Hiếu showed an endless passion for science. From a young student, Hiếu has become one of the nation’s leading scientists in engineering. With pioneer initiatives in solar energy, he and his team have taken humanity one step closer to a future where solar energy can thrive.
