The defending champions dominated the game from kick-off, but only managed to score goals in the second half. The gold medals were in Pencak Silat, fencing and swimming. Vietnam now has 31 gold, 35 silver and 41 bronze medals, second only to host Philippines which owns 63 golds, 45 silvers and 31 bronzes. Hoàng smashed the field in the men's 1,500m freestyle in a time of 14min 58.14sec, more than 17 seconds ahead of Aflah Fadlan Prawira of Indonesia and his Vietnamese compatriot Nguyễn Hữu Kim Sơn, who finished in 15:18.87. Quang Hai suffers one-month injury lay-off
Captain and star midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai will be missing for a month following multiple injuries. The news was given by Hanoi Football Club. Quang Hai collided with a Singaporean defender in their clash on Tuesday at the on-going SEA Games 30 in the Philippines. Hai was taken off in the 20th minute with injuries. Quang Hai (right) Medical checks-up showed that Hai suffers from multiple injuries, including to his knee and groin. Serious accidents, including deadly ones, involving jet skis and parasailing activities on the beaches of Da Nang and Hoi An in central Vietnam have raised safety concerns among beachgoers, as bans imposed by local authorities have proven ineffective. A ban on parasailing activities has been in place for more than a week in Hoi An, the tourist city of Quang Nam Province, but it just fails to stop thrill-seekers from participating in the extreme sport. At the famous An Bang Beach on Tuesday, droves of foreign tourists could be seen lining up for their turn to be strapped to a canopy wing, which gets airborne while towed by a speedboat to which it is attached.
